Have you ever just felt like that one student in class that
has no idea about what they are learning and you just look at all the other
students and they look like they know everything. Yeah well that’s what I’m feeling right
now. So I’m sitting in class and we
start talking about genre and stuff and I’m cool with it, you know I kind of
understood it. But, then we started
getting into more discussion about it and it is a really hard concept to grasp
for me. Another thing that we learned
was the difference between first-order thinking and second-order thinking. The difference between those two is that
first-order is not planned it is kind of like this post. Second-order is writing that is planned and
well thought out. Such as a well thought
out essay or something. This was all
very interesting and all, but after a whole class of talking about it, my
understanding of it became less and less.
Overall though, I really was interested about the first-order and
second-order writing. I was interested
about this because I have used first order writing all the time. I just never knew there was an explanation
for it, or a term. On the other hand, I
have also used second order writing all the time too. But, I always didn’t like it. I mean, who likes to make tables and
outlines. I think it is pretty boring,
but I do think it is necessary for certain essays such as my A.P. exams or
something like that. This is pretty much all I have been learning, there has
probably a lot more but I just can’t remember right now. Anyways if you have stuck with me this long I
would like to say thank you and have a nice day.
